Drive to the end of the highway, exit Köln Zentrum. Stay in the right lane and follow the road past Mediapark. Turn right at the first set of traffic lights into Kümpchenshof. Take the next right onto Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring. Get into the left lane for the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring underground car park (Hansaring entrance).
Take the A 3 to the Köln-Ost interchange, from there continue on the city highway in the direction of Köln-Zentrum. Cross the Rhine over the Zoobrücke bridge. Then take the 1st exit on the right (direction Zentrum) and keep to the right in the 360 degree bend that follows (follow the signs for Zentrum). Then get into the left lane and turn left at the traffic lights into Riehler Straße, straight ahead until you reach Ebertplatz. Turn right here into Hansaring. Hansaring becomes Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring. Get into the left lane for the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring underground car park (Hansaring entrance).
Take subway line 5 in the direction of Ossendorf and get off at Friesenplatz (2 stops). Change to line 12 or 15 in the direction of Longerich, Merkenich or Chorweiler, get off at Christophstraße/Mediapark (1st stop). The rheingold institute is located about 50 m from the exit.
From the airport station, take the S-Bahn S13 in the direction of Köln Zentrum to the Hansaring stop (18 minutes). From here it is about a 10-minute walk to Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ring. Or take the subway line 12 or 15 from here in the direction of Ubierring/Zollstock Südfriedhof to the Christophstraße/Mediapark stop (1st stop).
