The permanent crisis has left its mark on the German mind. A broad-based study by the Identity Foundation Düsseldorf and the rheingold institute shows that many people are lapsing into a no-future mode in the face of the problems they are experiencing. But a spirit of optimism is also developing. In activism with like-minded people, more and more people are seizing the opportunity to do something about the hopelessness.
phil.cologne is the largest philosophy festival in Germany and took place for the 10th time in 2022.
The philosopher and writer Thea Dorn (most recently: "Trost. Letters to Max") has done extensive work on the German soul and reflected in depth on our state of mind in times of pandemic. At phil.cologne 2022, she will talk with Stephan Grünewald, director of the rheingold institute and "psychologist of the nation" (FAZ), about our state of mind and our view of both the present and the future, even in the face of new global challenges.
Moderation: Svenja Flaßpöhler
