The goal is to support clients in the development, design, and optimization of online offerings with psychological rheingold research. Rheingold UX research is going beyond usability by accounting for the contexts in which the respective applications are used and impact users within that specific situation. In doing so, the situational motivations for use, the specifics of the respective product categories and positioning of the represented brand are taken into account. The key question is to understand if and how the brand is able to support a coherent user experience and how the practical usability is facilitating the alignment of brand and UX.
The evaluations of the tested applications include usage data, explorations and, if enriching for the research’s purposes, click streaming, eye- and/or mouse-tracking.The settings range from pragmatic UX sprints, which can answer specific questions with small samples in a few days, to more comprehensive approaches such as rheingold needMapping, which thoroughly analyzes the whole spectrum of access and usage motivations to provide inspiration for product development and optimization.
In addition, our UX projects are able to reveal user personas, or alternatively, typical situational usage patterns that allow to tailor user experiences towards these distinct needs.
